England's U20 NEVZA 2026 squad selections confirmed 

Both sides will travel to Rovaniemi, Finland on Thursday 22nd October, with matches staged between Friday 23rd and Sunday 25th October. 

Women's Head Coach Darren Lewis hopes that the hard work his team has been putting in will bear fruit once the action gets underway. 

“We are looking forward to going out to Finland for NEVZA which is the first round for the Europeans," he said.  

“As always, the competition is incredibly tough with teams who have vast experience. We have certain parameters we need to hit from a tactical point of view if we going to be successful out there. 

“The girls have put a lot of training in recently and now need the matches. The squad has a lot of flexibility and competition for places has been fierce. 

“We hope we can bring back some positive results out there and look forward to the challenge.”

The men’s team have high hopes of a successful NEVZA campaign given the experience they have already acquired, with a number of players having enjoyed game time in the DYNAMIK Men’s Super League. 

Head Coach Sam Shenton said: “We’re incredibly excited about this year’s NEVZA squad, which we believe could be one of the most exciting teams we’ve had in years. 

"Throughout the summer, the players have been putting in extra work and actively looking for opportunities to play and train at the highest level possible in their local areas. A huge thank you to all the clubs, teams and coaches helping to make that possible. 

"This is an important qualification year for us, with Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland all bringing strong programmes where players combine full-time study with training at dedicated centres. 

"We’re really looking forward to testing ourselves against some of the best young talent in the world and seeing what this squad can achieve.”
